When all is said and done, spying is not a good career choice. It`s not like seeing a spy movie, where the story ends and you get to walk out of the theatre and say, `that was excting. Now, let`s go for coffee.`
Yes, we Jews often have a feeling that we are torn between Israel and the country where we live. Pollard knew, when he began to sell secrets, that spies, when caught, can be killed or imprisoned. He put both the U.S. and Israel in a difficult, and even complicated, position.
I`m guessing that Pollard was well paid. Spies usually are. And then when they are caught, their bosses cut them lose.
