| 50% unemployment surely represents a humanitarian crisis in any society? Israel has always assumed that collective punishment leads to capitulation - 60 years on you would have thought they would have realised the opposite happens. The rift between Palestinian and Israeli has never been wider - the simmering resentment never stronger. Time to find another solution, but the military like to pursue the killing regime. After all, they might not have a job if we had peace. |
