| Historical nostalgic flashback to the 1950`s is very interesting . But at the same time olim were arriving from the west voluntarily to " build up the country" They lived in the most harshest of conditions -heat - exhaustion from long hours of hard work , bed bugs and seaweed mattresses. The Israeli Elite sent their kids to the west to become lawyers etc ,and Tel-Aviv`s bohemia danced . This was the face of Israel in the 50`s. Never mind Tel-Aviv-photo the periphery that gave Israel what it is today-a small country not just a strip of coastal city . HAL. |
