| The statistics are not necessarily what thye seem. They also include students at many pre-army yeshivot who also sign the form the Torah is their occupation. Statistically speaking, graduates of these yeshivot are over represented in elite units and the officers corps. In order to tell the story accurately, we need to separate the pre-army yeshiva students from those who defer their way out of service. |
