..had she resigned during or immediately after the failed Second Lebanese War. With that act she would have established herself as a woman of principles. She didn`t. She liked being in government and in the public eye. She didn`t want to lose the prestige or the perks. She stayed on in Olmert`s discredited government. It remains to be seen whether the Israelis will overlook this fatal error of character and judgment.
