Regrettably you are misinformed, though since your comments echo those of many others I will present a brief explanation for your consideration.

1) Jihad means `struggle` and mostly refers to an individual`s struggle in living a good life. It is true that the use of force is permitted in Islam, but only to end oppression, and even then strict rules exist governing its use. For instance, attacking non-combatants and civilian infrastructure is strictly forbidden.

2) The legitimacy of Sharia is debatable. The Quran lays out some specifics but most of what is accepted as Sharia was conceived after the death of Muhammad. Having said that, Human Rights, Women`s Rights, Education, Freedom and Democracy were all Islamic tenents long before modern Western Civilization decided to adopt them. As an example, Islam gave women the right to own property and the right to divorce (among other rights) though it wasn`t until the late 19th and early 20th century until the west followed.
