I am sure that if Olmert was an incorruptable leader, and a leader Israelis could look up to, the Lebanon war would not have touched him. If he would have not shown his corruptable side accepted corruption from his ministers, accepted the inappropriate behaviour of his President, and immediately sacked his incompetent ministers and generals; he would still be there today.
The problem was that he was a selfish and seeing the weaknes in himself, he accepted the weaknesses of others.
He caused this to himself and with or without the Lebanon debacle he would have been thrown out. |
