| Hezbollah captured Israelis in order to get all the Lebanese released. Hamas is capturing Israelis to get all the Palestinians released. Releasing `some` Palestinians will simply encourage more capturings. How about, instead, release all the Palestinians for Shalit, with the understanding that Hamas will disavow future capturings of Israelis, and Israel will stop capturing Palestinians in the future. If the agenda really is peace, a complete release of all captives should be a good first step. And if in the future Palestinians attack or Israelis attack, just shoot them don`t capture them. |
