| Dear Haaretz, It came to our attention that you are in possession of one of the rarest creatures on the face of this Good Earth, an Abominable Slowman, originally caught in the Himalayas. As you must have heard, the 2008 Olympics Games will be held in our great city of Beijing. To provide some extra attraction for the throngs of expected tourists, we would like to have the Abominable Slowman on display in our zoo. In return, we offer you TWO Panda Bears, a male and a female, both from the Sichuan province. The terms of this exchange are negotiable; it may be temporary , for a fixed number of years (preferably 4 or more, until the next Olympics), or permanent. We understand that Slowman`s diet is similar to that of Pandas, eggs, fish, yams, shrub leaves, oranges, and of course bamboo shoots. Note that the Olympics Games start on August 8th; your urgent reply will be much appreciated. P.S. If you prefer a temporary exchange, we will be able to train Slowman to move faster. We make such creatures dance on a hot plate. The hotter the plate, the faster the dance. Don`t you worry, Slowman will not suffer any permanent injury. This is what we call here "re-education of the wild ones." |
