| It seems that Olmert has the mistaken idea that he can cause problems between Syria and Syrias allies just by prolonging the talks between Syria and Israel. The fact is that everybody knows that Israel has no intention of returning the Golan willingly and that it is Syria stringing Israel along by appearing to want peace, when, in fact, Syria is waiting for the Israeli attack upon Iran to show her true colors. Meaningless talks between Syria and Israel are meaningless although each side thinks to gain some advantage from the talks. One thing is sure. These talks lead nowhere. |
