Title:#5 Arun you are whitewashing Gandhi like Jona
Name:Conroy

First off, I know her name was Gandhi - that was a typo - a mistake, just like the one you made when you posted both your city and country as "London".

Indira Gandhi was very anti-Israel. I remember some of her statements. She suggested in so many words that Israel has no right to exist. I remember those statements Arun. And to say India and Israel shared military intelligence has no bearing whatsoever on Gandhi`s position on Israel. Such cooperation was nothing more than military expediency which greatly benefited India for several reasons, including India`s conflict with Pakistan.

As for Japan, I also remember back in the 70`s Japan depended on the Arabs for 90% of their oil. Japanese officials reluctantly denounced Israel a couple of times but as I said held diplomatic, trade and other ties with Israel. India under Gandhi could have as well if she wanted to.

You can say what you want Arun but Gandhi was anti-Israel. You either don`t know the facts or you are distorting them.
