| To Amazed: I am curious what country YOU are talking about. My guess is that you are talking about a Middle Eastern country where tensions between Muslims and Jews run very high. Please, do not forget that most Muslims are NOT Arabs and do NOT live in the Middle East. The biggest Muslim population is in Indonesia (South-East Asia), and the second largest is in India. Personally, I have friends whose Muslim-Jewish, Buddhist-Muslim,Muslim-Christian, Hindu-Muslim marriages have endured and produced pretty well-adjusted children. Their respective parents may not have been delighted with the children`s decision in the beginning but I do not know any case where parental anger was permanent. Their anger usually melted with the arrival of a grandchild! |
