| The article appears to rip into American politicians for doing, basically, what Israelis want them to do. Israelis are not interested in having the US "tell us what to do." OK, so whenever any US politician says something like "withdraw to the Green Line" they get ripped for putting unnecessary pressure on Israel. When they say what they are supposed to say "We`ll support every Israeli peace effort and do what it takes to make any deal happen" articles like this rip them for pandering to the folks back home. Puhleeze!! The US has been supportinve of every serious Israeli peace effort by doing what it should do: letting Israel make the crucial decisions and then providing political, financial and military cover to help put a peace deal into effect. What`s wrong with that? In times of war the US has swung into action fast and put deeds behind the rhetoric about preserving a Jewish State of Israel. What`s your problem with that? |
