Zvi Bar'el : With you in war, but not in peace

One can`t want peace more then the parties involved, sound basic psychologics. Does that also apply when gasolineprices reach $10 a gallon or more? The public may not be aware (yet) of the interlinked problems and conflicts in the ME, but the oilmarket and oiltraders sure are. Peace between Israel and all Arab States and Iran will bring significant stability and relief on the worldwide energy market, deminish the roar of the Russian bear (Russia is still imperialistic), including muchos Iraqi oil coming out again. Now an Israeli attack on Iran still may occur, the danger of the closing of the Strait of Hormuz by Iran (sinking tankers) is breathtaking considering worldwide energy supply and demand, possible economic crackdown and foodcrisis in poor countries. One of the biggest fall out risks for Israel if it attacks Iran is American gasolineprices and a big big economic recession. America may seek to install and uplay peace to the parties in the ME after that by power and force.
