| Yes Maureen Ann this is the Jewish equivalent of the hajj, the Christian pilgrimage to the Church of the Holy Sepulcre or to Bethlehem. All sacred, all meaningful. All hoping for the same, a world of peace and love. BTW, this same wall was desecrated for centuries by the Muslims, and in the modern era Jews were denied permission to even visit the wall, let alone walk atop the Temple Mount, the holy of holies for the Jews. The same site that the Palestinians claim, has nothing to do with Judaism, the same Temple that the Palestinians deny even existed. In 1967 we reaffirmed our birthright, and reclaimed our ability to our ancient duty to pray at this place and give thanks before these beautiful stones. |
