| Why else, when they invaded the Sunni Palestinians in southern Lebanon in 1982, did they go ahead and kill any Shia Lebanese, who got in the way. Even though they knew that the Shia at the time were happy that the Israelis were pushing out the Palestinians, and were antipathetic toward them. Why else would they attack Arafat`s secular Fatah movement, knowing that the collapse of negotiation, and the dismissal of democratic choice, would result in a more militant and Islamic foe in Hamas. Israel chooses to punish, rather than win the hearts and minds of the gentiles. It seems that Israel wants all nonJews to be mad at them, and do not want to win them over. Maybe they are afraid that rehabilitation, peace, and winning the hearts and minds of their enemies ... will stop their messianic vision from happening. Israeli politics seem to be trying to achieve the RAPTURE, not peace. |
