I am surprised that you do not know your history. After the first round of elections in 1933 in which Hitler`s party did not gain a full majority, the second round was conducted under the threat of guns and death. Even people in old age homes were forced to vote. None of this ditracts from the fact that Hitler was wildly popular, and an object of a cult willingly practiced by an adoring public.
