The people of Charlotte, NC. do not have hamas terrorists in their midst. Israelis live in a world of threat and violence. In Israel a different measure of protection is needed to protect its citizens. Even in America things are not perfect and much criticism can be reported. Look in the daly newspapers or look at TV at violence in America. Before you criticize so easily, do not use terms as, banana republic" or, "authorized to steal." No, we do not have Hamas freedom fighters over here in America. No need for them to be here. They belong where they are. We do have a fifth column of Jews that work to suborn American interests for Israel. Pollard and others come to mind. They are a threat to America. However, we refuse to compromise our democratic principles to deal with it. How is Israel going to deal with the Israeli Arabs when they claim dual loyalty and work to undermine Israel?
The incident written about here is reminiscent of the Nazi style policies of intimidation and harassment of minorities in Europe during ww2. Whatever standards of behavior Israel wants to adopt to secure its role in oppressing the Palestinian population they will attempt to justify as security measures. The same justification no doubt that the Nazis used. The situation is also reminiscent of accounts I have read of the Warsaw ghetto prior to the uprising there.
