Approaching the bus-stop from a fair distance, see two people waiting there... Looks like a brow-beaten elderly man and a remonstrating youngish woman, voice raised, hands gesticulating... one wonders what the domestic drama could be...
On approaching realize that there is no familial connection between the two... he is merely cowering at the sheer volume of her voice as she speaks into her cell-phone... I join him with a glance of sympathy... we both suffer until the bus comes... Cannot resist asking the loud talker if she intends to continue in the bus as well...
Hope she reads this dire cell-phone warning... perhaps it will benefit the long-suffering bystanders as well... |
