| Wtp: "If you agree to halt construction and or expansion and to a variety of other preconditions thyen what exactly are you negotiating about?" Is that territory going to end up belonging to (a) Israel or (b) Palestine when the final status agreemenat are signed? That`s what. Wtp: "such agreements are in effect concesions nthat become immediately accomplished facts. " !!!! 1967, and Israel overruns the West Bank. Israel covets that land for itself. So in 1967 Israel *should* have said "It`s all mine now, I`m annexing it" and all construction/settlement activity should have been frozen THEN while the legality or otherwise of that annexation was settled. Instead Israel has spent 40 years attempting annexation by stealth i.e. creating "facts on the ground" in the hope that one day some as-yet-unidentified statute of limitations kicks in and Israel keeps the territory by default. Yet YOU claim that putting a stop to that is unfair on Israel. !!!! |
