| Im sure Obama has great ideals.What Im concerned about and really dont know enough about is the arabs ideals and the arabs intentions. Can things really be worked out for a rational peace? I must admit after reading and reading and writing and writing and listening,I am no better off than I was. I watch Iraq crumble.I watch Lebanon disinegrate.Wherever there is a hope for something new there is an underlying force that destroys it. So I am wary of Obama here.Not his ideals.His ideals are fantastic. I know his speeches are great and he can turn an audience quickly.I hope he also will succeed.The world needs hope.But my concern is arab fundamentalism in its extreme form. Obamas has to talk loud but step carefully. Dont underestimate the hope we need right now. |
