| Herzog died never revealing the reasons he pardoned the members of the gang. Questioned over the years by different people he reportedly refused to answer the question of why. A sad stain on his career, and a sad statement on a loophole in the law which, like in America, is sometimes abused by the president in power. The answer is the law should be changed so that checks and balances are applied to it, or it should be stricken from the books. |
