The hubris shown thus far by Barack Obama is matched only by the adulation of the press wherever he goes. Whether that adulation is well deseved is yet to be seen. Obama is traveling like a president, with 100 reporters and anchors following his every move and recording his every scripted utterance. This Junior Senator, who held no hearing on the sub-committe for Europe, nor had visited Europe, had demanded to speek at the Branderburg Gate, and when was refused, chose the Victory Column, a symbol chosen by Hitler as German superiority. The Senator, who held no meetings on NATO, either, will ask Europe to increase its contributions to NATO. Although Obama has 300 foreign policy advisors, none have seen fit to curb their candidate`s appetite for the grandiose, including the enormous American flags pinned behind him on stage whenever he gives a speech at home. America needs a statesman, not a staged man. |
