I hope you`re not asking MEN in Iran to imagine how sweet Ahmadinejad is because they are likely to be hung from the nearest crane for being Gay.
As for the Art, check out Marcus Harvey`s portrait of Myra Hindley, the Moors murderer who was jailed for life for toturing and murdering little children. Harvey uses her image painted by the handprints of children to produce a Mosaic of the Iconic Hindley. It`s a powerful piece, but this drawing by Avigad is completely devoid of any artistry or aesthetic. It does have a certain Keith Haring quality to it however, but I prefer Cezanne or Chagall, or Jimmy Smith who lives across the road. |
