What fell into Israel`s hand was a densely populated stretch of land (fascinating how you the population never appears in your view) and the idea of building up Jewish enclaves in its midst was absurd from the beginning, and the settlers who subscribed to this absurdity should be reminded that they did so at their own risk.

I have a feeling that a lot of people in Israel are far worse off than these settlers (typically once a fortnight you have something in the papers how bad holocaustz survivors are cared for by the state), and I should wonder how compassionate these Israelis feel toward such pampered "pioneers". |
