The Associated Press: Lebanese civilians complain of anti-Hezbollah phone messages from Israel

Terrorism, he says, is any use of "the threat of violence against a civilian population to force a change in policy" (even when the threat is still simply a threat and warns of war rather instead of promising direct targeting of civilians).

Iran then has just engaged in terrorism against the US and Israel (by warning of the harmful consequence that will befall American and Israeli civilians (as well as military personal) in the wake of any attack. And I believe -- with Colin I`m sure -- that such terrorist acts by Iran deserve a firm response from the US in the form of much tougher economic sanctions, military responses, or both. And while we`re at it, such pressure might also help convince the Iranians to end the real terrorism (and not merely laughable threats) they`ve been engaging in since 1979.
