Indeed -- and Israel has repeatedly made the mistake of thinking she can bludgeon her neighbors into quivering submission. 1973, 1982, 2001, and 2006 all show the fallacy in this thinking.
I think it`s legitimate to argue that Israel is a victim of her own racism. She really thinks of Arabs as subhuman -- and really thinks that they will accept any abuse or humiliation if they are only beaten enough.
As the last sixty years demonstrate, that hasn`t been the response. |
