You`ve said it all Arik. That`s the long and the short of it.
Nobody likes Ahmedinejad and his big mouth but h`s much less of a threat to the arverage westerner than a collapsing economy.
Personally, I don`t think he`s that much of a threat to Israel either, though you may disagree. He`s not Hitler. Hitler had a proven track record even before WWII of taking huge, sudden gambles. Ahmedinejad, by contrast speaks big, but seems quite a careful operator who weighs up the situation and pursues his goals with much less drama. He`s more like the Soviet leaders of the Cold War era. Obviously there is some risk of Iran getting nukes and a much smaller risk of them using them. But we all take risks every time we cross a road, or add to the carbon in the air. |
