| That`s a better post than usual but you still don`t read the ME the way it really is: "The gift that Israel`s relative decline will bring is peace." I wish this were true, unfortunately it doestn`t depend only on Israel... "Israel will have to change its militaristic ways. If it does not, it will die." The problem is that Israel became strong militarily only because it was under constant threat from its early beginnings: the Arab countries and the Palestinians are the ONLY reason why we have become a military superpower. "Israel will have to learn the skills of diplomacy." Amazing, but here I fully agree with you. "It will have to learn to live with its neighbours." I fully disagree on this one: the Arab countries and the Palestinians live on the myth that we will disappear as thin air. That they can push us to the sea, remember that one? "Israel will have to recognise that happiness cannot be built on the misery of others." Happiness?? This one is ridiculous... |
