What`s strong enough to rout the Neocons and the Israel lobby and save Iran? The economic crisis in the US.
Bush does NOT want any more trouble to stir things up and perhaps bring on a major economic depression in the United States due to a shortage of oil, or even just due to war worries if an attack is made on Iran. The Republican Party would face a major disaster in the November election if that happens, and their political decline could last for a generation to come.
Israel be warned: the US Israel lobby and its influence in Congress can`t help you if you attack Iran, and the result is that it retaliates by disrupting the flow of oil enough to bring the US economy crashing down. |
