This starts with equating a pinpoint surprise attack by a limited number of aircraft (Syria) with a massive air campaign for which the Iran is prepared. There is ample time to intercept at least a part of the attacking force.
And politically there is no need for Iran to thwart an attack completely. A few downed planes and their aircrew paraded through Teheran will make you remember what America went through in 1980 ... and you are just as helpless in this case as America was. |
