| American idientity is of superman with all the latest toys who steps in to save the day. China, and a more hostile Russia starting to play bully boy again, Iran with its plans to go neuclear global terror now more than ever to protect its own interests America must stay world policeman. get out of Iraq but not set a date and leave do it in an orderly manner. The defense industry acounts for a huge portion of the American exports & government investment in the defense industry creates milions of jobs. Unless the US government garuntees to place orders products wont be developed because the initial investment is so hgh. Europe & Russia will then fill the holes left by America because of a lack of investment in the defense industry so America looses money. If defense was slashed the money saved wouldnt be spread out to create equality etc it would be used to fund tax cuts. Even when there was economic prosperity didnt mean equality so why should it be any different time. |
