| A system collects your empty battery and replaces it with a charged one at the station. Your empty battery, once charged, will be used by another car. No need of huge parking lots for endless recharging. That problem is solved. The unsolved problem is where the energy to charge the batteries will come from. I read somewhere that it will be solar energy, and I am curious about that and skeptical as regard to the capacity of solar energy to power Israel`s park of cars. If it will be from the regular electricity network, the capacity won`t be enough, and the overall emission balance will remain unchanged (fuel burned by cars directly vs. fuel burned by power plants). How is the energy supply for this project dealt with? |
