Howdy Chris;

"But Israel`s explanation of the kidnapping of Iranian Diplomats must be take at face value."

I was under the impression that Hezbollah wanted to know what happened to three or four Lebanese politicians (and not Iranian diplomats) who were kidnapped (and probably snuffed) by the Christian Phalangists. I`m unaware of any Iranian officials ever being held by Israel at any time or for any reason.

It is likely that neither Israel nor Hezbollah has a clue about the MIAs from over 20 years ago so I don`t know what Olmert is bitching about. The Israeli Cabinet has already approved this ill-conceived prisoner exchange and I don`t see how Israel can back out of it now at this late date based on Olmert`s opinion of a report prepared by persons who know no more about what happened to Ron Arad than I do.

At least Israel will finally be able to know if Regev and Goldwasser are alive or dead and bring closure to their families one way or the other.
