The longer the Israeli soldiers grow accustomed to being nothing but bullies against civilians, the less prepared they will be to fight against a real military opponent. As example, see how they bungled the 2nd Lebanon war - it took the air force doing the bombing for them (from a nice safe distance) to save their asses.
