| THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ISRAEL AND LEBANON ... Lebanon is unable or unwilling to exercise its own sovereign power and regulate and prevent the use of its territory by militant gangs to launch attacks against Israel. Accordingly, the ONLY way Israel can prevent these gangs from murdering Israelis is to enter Lebanese territory and stopping them. Israel, unlike Lebanon, has a sovereign government that controls its territory and regulates the actions of its residents through its police and legal system. Accordingly its sovereignty must be respected by Egypt -- especially when neither the Israeli government nor its public sanction drug smuggling, much less armed attacks, against Egypt (again, unlike the situation in Lebanon).
