The water problem in the region could only be solved by joint program,which is not implemented due to lack of peace.
The solution is to buy water from Turkey.The pipe via Syria could solve water problems for Israel,Palestinians,Jordan and even Saudi Arabia and Gulf.Such water would be cheap,because it would be pumped in very large amounts,for entire Middle East.The whole region would become green.
Right now,for instance,in Syria,there`s surplus of water,but there are also parched areas,because the government doesn`t invest in infrastructure.Peace with Israel could help the whole Middle East to develop in many spheres,including the water use.
When Palestinians and Israelis lack water due to drought,they should always remember,that the absence of peace means the absence of water.No good will-no drinking water!
Unfortunately,peace is not around the corner.The area will continue to suffer from water shortage.The damage to the natural reserves may become irreversible. |
