There was no massacre at Deir Yassin. Iraqi and local forces were firing on Jewish conveys travelling on the road below. Jewish forces went in with MEGAPHONES warning the civillians to evacuate the area. A battle ensued.
We have seen video interviews of people who were there who admit that they were TOLD BY THEIR LEADERS to claim a massacre had occurred, in order to prompt the neighbouring Arab armies to be sent to intervene. They categorically stated that there was NO MASSACRE. You may be able to find these interviews on web.
You do however forget the Hebron massacre of Jews that did occur, in 1929 in which all Jews were either murdered or ousted from Hebron. They had lived there consistently for 1,000s of years. No-one has ever compensated them for the properties they lost. |
