This should not be viewed through the prism of religion, but of human rights.
The Tomb of the Patriarchs in Hebron was closed to non-Muslims for almost 700 years (between 1187 and 1865).
And that ban was lifted only because the Ottoman authorities needed British cooperation
on other matters.
What was wrong and discriminatory for 700 years in Hebron, is also wrong and discriminatory now on the Mount.

And besides, there is plenty of room on the Mount for everyone to pray quietly by themselves.
