"The (continuing of) Qassams..have given rise to the feeling that the cease-fire is about to collapse." So haaretz SKIPS the (NOT important) FACT of truce VIOLATIONS to the (VERY important) "FEELING" of a truce collapse. "it is essential to distinguish between the (set) aims..and the ability to fulfill all of them at once." Really? Just LOOK at haaretz`s TIRADES of Israel (too slow, too fast, not enough, too much, etc) pre/post Annapolis talks. Yet haaretz thinks TERRORISTS must be treated EXCEPTIONALLY. "the working assumption was (Hamas and the other (pali groups)..would honor their commitment (to the truce)" And what is the commitment? That "(hamas) called anyone who fires a Qassam a "criminal" and..that the Qassams damage Palestinian interest". haaretz`s way - WORDS talk LOUDER than ACTION. "(IJ) broke it after Israel killed a few of its members in the West Bank" Of course haaretz OMITS the (NOT important) FACT that WB is NOT part of the truce.
