| We American and European Jews understand Judaism as a covenant and a faith transcending the millennia. Israeli secularists understand Jewishness as being Israeli. They are doing the very great mitzvah of rebuilding G-d`s Holy Land, while we do the very great mitzvah of transmitting Judaism to the next generation. We need each other and should try to be understanding -- although I know it`s not easy! |
