| After the Lebanon 2 debacle, Israel is anxious to rekindle the spirit of Entebbe, when the IDF was held in high esteem by the world and was known for daring and successful exploits. Some think that an attack on Iran would be the perfect venue. In reality, any such attack will be a disaster for Israel in too many ways to count. Personally, I welcome such an attack since an Israeli disaster is necessary before peace can be achieved. I say this even though I will share the consequences with the people of the world through the doubling of oil prices. The only question is whether Israel has the courage to make this attack alone without American complicity. |
