First, quoting Blix as an honest expert? In 1991, Blix said Saddam didn`t have a nuclear weapons program, shortly before Bush forced Saddam to admit he had exactly such a thing. Then there was his waffling around Shrub`s invasion, though he knew the reality was that Iraq violated its 1991 agreements.
Second, the Sunni Arab world does not want the Shiite Iranian regime to get the bomb. They`ll cry crocodile tears but privately thank Israel for slowing down the program.
Third, the "Arab Initiative" was a non-starter, saying that if Israel agreed to redefine the GL as a border, then the Arabs might make peace.
Again, Levy shows he`s incapable of dealing with reality. |
