| In order to deal with short and mid range katyushas, grads, homemade Iranian rockets, etc fired from Southern Lebanon Israel should acquire at least one very powerful B-52. Most of the military experts in Israel will say that it is not cost efficient and that our fighter/bomber fleet can do the job just fine without a big B-52. Well, I say this to the experts, F-15s cannot carry M.O.A.B or Big BLU. You want true shock and awe get busy acquiring at least 1 B-52. The psychological terror and fear a B-52 instills is tremendous, especially after it is used to its full capacity on its first bombing run. An F-15 cannot flatten 3 or 4 football fields on one bombing run in one mission alone. The B-52 should be used as a punitive bombing platform. Israel has always been sensitive to causing civilian deaths. Use the B-52s to flatten forests and orchards. Do not target villages, the land is just as valuable and is used for cover and concealment. Demoralize them by destroying their land. |
