| Firstly, I agree with MK Ramon on the status of the Arab areas of East Jerusalem. Build the separation barrier further west, cut off the Arab areas of East Jerusalem and make them part of the West Bank once again. They won`t pay taxes to Jerusalem and they can be cared for by the PA. But wait, say the Israel-bashers, that is collective punishment? Cutting off Arabs from Jerusalem is racist, and rotten, and Apartheid. But wait, say the right wing Zionists, Jabel Mukaber and Zur Baher are part of Holy Jerusalem and it is forbidden to divide the city! If East Jerusalem is to be the capitol of a Palestinian State, then it will be seperated from West Jerusalem and its Jewish population. That is what the Palestinians and the world community say they want, so why not? Israel has had enough terror attacks coming from inside that we should know that after 40 years this is not Israel, this is not Jerusalem as the Jews know it, and it never will be. Time to end this farce. |
