| Appealing possible earth stroke health conditions Health Ministries urgent / immediate instructions in the North ? to be prepared ? for possible of a major ? tremors ? effects newspapers headlines only. We cannot expect reaction by those in the North concerned but explanations / claims like??. ? we have the necessary plans ? ? we need additional money to carry them out allocation ? ? we need additional personnel ? ? we need additional medical equipments ? ? we need additional medical personnel ? ? we need further funds ? These demands / needs are becoming urgent when such preparation are being propose and requested from a lot properly prepared basic situation! Earthquake are nothing new in the area we live in and Governments should have or had taken necessary steps of preparations i.a. by decreeing special building conditions to minimize tremor effects and casualties. To what extend these orders were followed is questionable, after the minor lesson ( for earthquake possible destructions ) during the 33 days of the last Lebanese War. Here rocket attacks were analysed by the Winograd Report plus State Comptroller findings. If all the requested / needed steps to prevent re-occurrence have been taken is questionable. - Comparatively the Lebanese War damages were light to what a real strong earthquake could cause. These expected, special emergency preparations / pre-request many basic needs like secure drinking water supplies, electricity, communications, stores of emergency food and medical supplies etc. not to speak of preparations for secured emergency shelters for the population and the connected necessary minimal public services. This clearly shows narrow limitations of this administrative instruction which, one can only hope, was made in full active cooperation / action with IDF and ? Home Front ? - The Health Ministry?s competence here is rather limited but is fully needed in complete cooperation with all the other involve authorities, including possible special emergency once. The ministry?s Department, Hospitals Clinic, must be brought up to those needs. Is medical personnel must be retrained, juvinated and permanently brought up today about medical advances as well as to strict discipline within this governmental bodies. Cases like the present ? inquiry about death of a child by dehydration ? demand immediate changes????!!!!
