The surge isn`t doing anything much to damage Iran`s interests in Iraq. Maliki and the Iraq government are much closer to Iran than the US. They may need your troops and money to prop them up, but they don`t like you. They like Iran.
As to your strange fantasising about Israel and the US `liberating` Iran, it`s just not going to happen. All the empty threats (including this covert operations rubbish) are coming from the US and Israel. The Iranians are simply saying what everyone knows they can and will do - fire rockets at Israel and close the Gulf, forcing oil up to 400 dollars a barrel and destroying the US and western economies.
Israel and the US can`t fulfill their empty threats. The Iranians could fulfill their threats this afternoon if they wanted to.
