S, you might change your mind if you consider a few factors: 1. Samir Kuntar (aka Samirele to his parents) was born on July 1962. The Haran attack took place on April 1979. This means that Samirele was not yet 17 years old at the time, a minor with more limited responsibility.
2. Samir has served already 29 years in jail. This is more than a life sentence in some countries. 3. The Hizballah kidnapping of the two soldiers was MOTIVATED by the desire to free Kuntar. How many IDF soldiers were killed as a result? Do we need some more attacks of a similar nature? |
