The administration granted Hallliburton multi-billions in no-bid contracts for Iraq and post-Katrina from the Bush administration in return. According to knowledgable sources Halliburton cuts off executives at the knees for quitting; no golden parachute there. Except for presumptive vice president Cheney. No cry of foul in the US. Just business as usual, the name of the game in the world of politics in the US and all around the world.
Israel is right, if exceptional,to hold her politicians accountable for corruption. But lets keep things in perspective. That Israel is an exception in refusing to tolerate corruption means that morality and ethics in the Jewish state is also exceptional. |
