The sad fact is that Olmert has no intention of reaching a final settlement with the Palestinians or with the Syrians. He is using the "negotiations" to stay alive. If Labor had any guts it would leave the government and let there be new elections. Yes, Bibi might win, but he would be no worse than Olmert. The one-state solution is the only viable alternative after one government after another has sought tyo destroy the two-state solution.
